WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWERS
Design of wireless communications installations for both new “raw land” sites and co-location on existing towers. This includes the design of installations for guyed towers and self-supporting structures including, monopoles, lattice towers, unipoles, flagpoles, monopines, etc. Site design includes the property plan, compound and equipment layouts, installation details, utilities, site and access grading and drainage, as well as wetland delineation and permitting. For co-location sites, we provide structural evaluations of existing towers to support additional loads.
WIRELESS INSTALLATIONS ON POWER TRANSMISSION STRUCTURES
For the wireless industry, installing equipment on transmission structures has become an option in densely populated areas to eliminate the need for new wireless towers in aesthetically/historically sensitive areas. Services include structural analysis and design for evaluating and reinforcing structures and designs for attaching wireless equipment.
WIRELESS INSTALLATIONS ON BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES
Design of wireless communications installations on building rooftops and façades; water tanks; smokestacks and church steeples. Structural analysis is performed for existing and proposed installation to ensure sufficient capacity of the structure to withstand the increased loading. This can range from antennas and ancillary equipment to the installation of equipment shelters on a rooftop. Many jurisdictions require concealment of the equipment and antenna installations in architecturally consistent enclosures. Designs can range from antennas mounted within penthouse extensions, false chimneys mounted to the roof, and screen walls masking the equipment installation. For church steeples, antennas are usually mounted within a fiberglass steeple, or behind panels within the existing steeple.
WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS FOR RAIL TRANSIT
Design of wireless telecommunications for enhanced wi-fi service. Includes installations on new and existing towers; buildings and existing transit infrastructure. Services include site design, structural analysis and topographic surveys.
